Cruiser Drag

I know the title sounds like this post is going to be about something really racy. In reality, it is actually about something race-y, DRAG RACE-Y.  

Every Wednesday night, Bandimere Speedway has a special session of racing where pretty much anyone can race anything they want.  All sorts of cars show up to this event; there are motorcycles (both slow and fast), Volkswagen Rabbits, Mercedes Benz, true muscle cars and even one or two funny cars that really screamed. What really matters is that everyone out there was having a blast watching man and machine give it their best shot.  

Well, my buddies at Kickstand Magazine, decided that most guys who are into muscle cars don’t really know what fast is.  In general most people think their car is much faster than it really is.  So, with that in mind, we headed up to the speedway to put a couple of cruisers up against the fastest locals we could find.  

There was really only one man who had a chance a beating some of these home-grown hotrods and that was “The King”.  Most of these guys came ready with helmets and nitrous and five or even six point harnesses.  But what they didn’t know, was that the crew from Kickstand came “cape ready”.  With a pair of fresh legs, one long yellow cape, a kickin’ cruiser and a suit fit for “The King”, we lined up for the burn-outs.
